Two biologists from the Vancouver-based environmental firm Diamond Head Consulting will be in the Bell McKinnon area on September 15 and 16 to conduct an assessment of environmental features in order to improve the connectivity of the “blue-green network” and to identify wildlife habitat corridors in the portion of the Bell McKinnon Local Area Plan north of Herd Road.

Property owners will be asked to allow biologists to survey their properties, which will involve walking through and taking pictures. Participation is 100% voluntary and at the property owner's discretion. The study can be completed from roadside observations where property owners choose not to participate or cannot be reached.
